R-452A REFRIGERANT

25 LB (11.3 KG) CYLINDER

Advanced Refrigerant for Transport & Commercial Refrigeration Systems

Professional R-452A Refrigerant

R-452A is a hydrofluorocarbon and hydrofluoroolefin (HFC/HFO) zeotropic refrigerant blend developed for selected low- and medium-temperature refrigeration applications.

Designed as a lower global warming potential alternative to R-404A and R-507A, R-452A is commonly used in refrigerated transport equipment and compatible commercial refrigeration systems.

GQSBIKE presents the R-452A 25 LB refrigerant cylinder for professional refrigeration servicing and approved equipment applications. Always verify cylinder labeling, refrigerant identity, equipment compatibility and manufacturer specifications before use.

25 LB Cylinder

Advertised refrigerant net weight of 25 LB / approximately 11.3 KG.

Lower-GWP Blend

HFC/HFO technology with lower global warming potential than R-404A.

Refrigeration Applications

Developed for selected refrigerated transport and commercial cooling systems.

Common R-452A Applications

  • Refrigerated trucks and transport refrigeration units
  • Temperature-controlled trailers and reefer equipment
  • Selected commercial refrigeration systems
  • Compatible industrial direct-expansion refrigeration
  • Low- and medium-temperature refrigeration equipment
  • Evaluated R-404A and R-507A retrofit applications

Important: Equipment compatibility must be confirmed using manufacturer documentation and qualified refrigeration service guidance.

Advanced R-452A Refrigerant Technology

R-452A combines R-125, R-1234yf and R-32 to provide refrigeration characteristics suited to selected transport and commercial refrigeration equipment.

Compared with R-404A, R-452A has a lower GWP and can offer similar cooling capacity and operating performance in properly designed or approved systems.

R-452A is not a universal drop-in replacement. A qualified technician must assess system suitability, components, lubricant requirements and applicable retrofit procedures.

System Compatibility & Retrofit Information

R-452A was developed as an alternative to R-404A and R-507A for selected refrigeration applications, including transport refrigeration.

Before considering a conversion, the system must be evaluated for operating conditions, compressor suitability, seals, components and lubricant compatibility.

Existing refrigerant must be recovered using approved procedures. Refrigerants should never be mixed, and converted equipment must be correctly documented and labeled.

Safety & Handling Information

R-452A is classified as ASHRAE A1, indicating lower toxicity and no flame propagation under the applicable standard test conditions. It remains a pressurized refrigerant and requires appropriate professional handling.

  • Use only in compatible approved refrigeration systems.
  • Do not mix R-452A with R-404A, R-507A or other refrigerants.
  • Use compatible refrigeration service and recovery equipment.
  • Store cylinders upright and secure them against damage.
  • Keep cylinders away from excessive heat.
  • Work in appropriately ventilated areas.
  • Prevent contact with escaping liquid to avoid frostbite.
  • Follow the current Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
  • Have installation and servicing performed by qualified technicians.
  • Never intentionally release refrigerant into the atmosphere.

Important Purchase Information

R-452A is a regulated refrigerant subject to applicable sales, recovery, handling, transport and environmental requirements. In the United States, EPA Section 608 certification requirements and HFC phasedown restrictions may apply. Buyers and service technicians should verify eligibility, system compatibility and current regulations before purchase or use. Confirm the actual cylinder contents, net weight and manufacturer documentation before installation.
