Recalls Check

Recall Check

Check whether your product may be affected by a safety recall or product-safety notice.

GQSBIKE does not currently operate an automatic serial-number recall database. Recall status must be verified using the manufacturer’s official information or an authorized government recall database.

Information You Will Need

Before checking for a recall, locate:

  • Product brand or manufacturer.

  • Product name.

  • Model number.

  • Serial number.

  • Model or production year.

  • Purchase date.

  • GQSBIKE order number, if purchased from us.

Product identification information may appear on the frame, product label, battery, packaging, instruction manual, receipt, or order-confirmation email.

Request a Recall Check

To request assistance from GQSBIKE, email info@gqsbike.us with the subject line:

Recall Check Request

Include:

  • Your full name.

  • Email address.

  • Telephone number.

  • GQSBIKE order number.

  • Product brand and model.

  • Serial number.

  • Purchase date.

  • A clear photograph of the complete product.

  • A photograph of the model and serial-number label.

  • A description of your safety concern.

We aim to review requests within 1–2 business days. Additional time may be required to confirm information with the manufacturer.

Check Official Consumer-Product Recalls

For bicycles, accessories, batteries, chargers, helmets, tools, and other consumer products, search the official database maintained by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission:

Search CPSC Recalls and Safety Warnings

Search using the manufacturer, product name, model number, or relevant keyword.

Check Vehicle-Related Recalls

For products classified as motor vehicles or vehicle-related equipment, use the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recall tool:

Search NHTSA Recalls

The NHTSA tool supports searches by:

  • Vehicle identification number.

  • License plate.

  • Year, make, and model.

  • Equipment type.

A bicycle serial number is not the same as a 17-character motor-vehicle VIN and may not work in the NHTSA lookup tool.

If Your Product Is Recalled

If an official notice confirms that your product is affected:

  1. Read the entire recall notice.

  2. Follow all stop-use or storage instructions.

  3. Do not continue using the product if instructed to stop.

  4. Do not sell, donate, or give away the recalled product.

  5. Contact the manufacturer or authorized service provider identified in the notice.

  6. Follow only the official repair, replacement, or refund procedure.

  7. Keep copies of all recall-related documents.

Do not attempt an unauthorized repair or modification.

If No Recall Is Found

A search result showing no recall does not guarantee that a product is free from every possible defect or safety issue.

Recall databases may not include:

  • Recently announced notices that have not yet been indexed.

  • Manufacturer service campaigns.

  • Products listed under a different brand or model name.

  • Individual product defects unrelated to a general recall.

  • Products outside the agency’s jurisdiction.

If you notice an unusual safety issue, stop using the product and contact GQSBIKE or the manufacturer.

Second-Hand Products

A recall may still apply if you purchased the product second-hand.

Use the product’s model and serial number to check its eligibility. Contact the manufacturer because GQSBIKE may not have access to records for products purchased elsewhere.

Recall Repairs

Recall remedies may include:

  • Inspection.

  • Repair.

  • Replacement components.

  • Product replacement.

  • Refund.

The remedy is determined by the official recall notice. GQSBIKE cannot guarantee reimbursement for repairs completed without authorization.

Battery Safety

If a battery or charger is affected by a recall, damaged, swollen, leaking, unusually hot, smoking, or producing a strong odor:

  • Stop using and charging it.

  • Disconnect the charger only if it is safe.

  • Keep it away from flammable materials.

  • Follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

  • Contact the manufacturer or local hazardous-waste authority.

Do not place damaged or recalled lithium-ion batteries in household trash or ordinary recycling containers.

Report a Safety Problem

You can report an unsafe consumer product through:

SaferProducts.gov

For an immediate emergency, contact local emergency services.

Recall Fraud Warning

Be cautious of messages requesting payment or sensitive financial information in exchange for a recall remedy.

Do not provide:

  • Complete payment-card numbers.

  • Card security codes.

  • Account passwords.

  • Gift-card payments.

  • Cryptocurrency payments.

  • Unusual wire transfers.

Verify suspicious messages by contacting GQSBIKE through the information published on our website.
